Glaze Construction is a licensed general contractor firm specializing
in Design/Build remodeling and renovation projects, and custom homes
in the Hickory, North Carolina area. As with all reputable contractors,
we are fully insured and carry worker’s compensation as well as general
liability insurance.
Unlike most contractors, Gene Glaze did not begin his professional life
as a contractor. Instead, he graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1989
with a B.S. in Pharmacy and practiced for the following nine years.
After deciding to pursue his true calling, Gene spent three years
working for Habitat for Humanity where, in addition to acting as their
general contractor, he trained and supervised work site volunteers.
Gene currently serves on the Remodeler’s Council of Greater Hickory and the Green Building Council, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Home Builder’s Association of Hickory & Catawba Valley. He also is a firm believer in the importance of continuing education and holds both the Certified Graduate Remodeler and Graduate Master Builder designations from the National Association of Home Builders.

We stand behind our work with an in-house warranty where we take a proactive approach by contacting you at thirty days, six months, and eleven months after the project is complete in order to identify any issues that need to be resolved.
